What carbon steel grades can you weld?

Mild steel (A36 plate, common structural), low-carbon and medium-carbon steel grades, and most of the alloys you’ll find in trailers, equipment frames, and ag and industrial fabrication. Higher carbon and tool steel grades need preheat and post-heat to weld without cracking, and we handle those when the job calls for it.

Send the part or a description and we’ll tell you which grade we think it is and which process and rod fit it.
