Can you weld aluminum and stainless on boats?

Yes. Aluminum is the most common boat material in the Pacific Northwest, and we TIG weld aluminum hulls, transoms, decks, livewells, fuel tanks, ladders, and rails. Stainless shows up in cleats, hardware, T-tops, fishing rod holders, and railings, all of which TIG well.

TIG is the right process for most marine welding because the bead is clean, the heat is controllable, and the finish doesn’t need extensive cleanup.
