Can you weld an old or antique tractor?

Yes. Old iron is some of our favorite work. Antique tractors are usually built from steel that welds easily, and the original parts are often worth saving rather than hunting down a replacement. Frames, drawbars, hitches, fenders, and brackets all weld up clean.

Cast iron components like manifolds, blocks, and gear cases need careful prep, the right rod, and slow heat control. We’ve welded plenty of older tractors back into running shape. Send photos and we’ll tell you whether it’s a weld job or a parts hunt.
