Is stick welding strong enough for heavy equipment?

Yes. Stick is one of the standard processes for heavy equipment repair. Cracked excavator buckets, broken tractor frames, structural beam repairs, and field welds on construction equipment are all stick welded daily across the industry.

We use stick for many of our heavy equipment repairs because it gives strong penetration on thick material and runs well on the metal that’s usually rusty or dirty when we get to it.
