What is structural welding?

Structural welding joins steel components that carry building or infrastructure loads. Beam-to-column connections, base plates, beam splices, brace welds, and the welds that hold a steel building up are all structural.

Structural welding has to pass code inspection in commercial work. We’re WABO certified for structural welding, the Washington Association of Building Officials credential. For specific repair scenarios like cracked beams, see our steel beam repair page.
