Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) is a semi-automatic or automatic welding process that utilizes a continuous tubular wire filled with flux.
The welding process is similar to MIG welding, but the flux-cored wire provides additional shielding and produces a slag covering that protects the weld pool from contamination. This process allows for high deposition rates and excellent penetration, making it ideal for thicker materials.
